So how hard is it to use peel and sticks. Here are some installation tips:
Clean wall and make sure it is dried out. For freshlypainted walls let paint "thouroughly dry" for 10 to 15 days prior to applying decals. Even if new paint feels dry, it may nonetheless need to settle and thoroughlycure. Peel and Stick Wall Decals are not advised on "Orange Peel" textured walls, over cinder blocks, very textured and porous surfaces, wallpaper or fragile surfaces. Wall stickers are OK to use on tile as long as the surface is clean and completelydry during application. Make sure the design element does not cover grout region as water mightleak under and damage the adhesive. Apply onto shower walls, provided that they are placedfirmly onto the surface so moistureis unable toreach under the decal. Once placed, RoomMates won'tmove even if sprayed by shower.
Vinyl wall decals should not be placed in a dishwater or microwave and they should not be placed on rugs, fabrics and any other textiles. Textile fibers may stick to the adhesive and destroy the product. Also, don'tput at the bottom or inside the tub. Water could seepbeneath the wall decal too easily and would compromise the adhesive. When putting on, make sure you get started from one side (for the border) or the top (for the appliques) of each element. Keep the other parts of the element at a distance from the wall/surface. Slowly go straight down over the design with your hand and smooth the element onto area (and press the bubbles out as you go). Once applied you ought to be able to move any leftover bubbles out by pressing/smoothing them out of the section. If the problempersists (this would onlyoccur with the giant decals), you can punch a very small (invisible to the eye) hole with a pin to press the air out.
